CHP calls for a commission: 'We need concrete steps'

CHP Deputy Chairman Burhanettin Bulut shared his party's strategies regarding the National Solidarity Commission during a press conference he held in Adana.

Touching upon the new restructuring within the party, Bulut drew attention to the recent management changes. Emphasizing that concrete solution proposals have gained importance in the current period, Bulut stated, "We need concrete steps rather than formal situations."

THE BEGINNING OF A NEW ERA IN THE PARTY

Bulut evaluated the new era that began in the CHP with the 39th Ordinary Congress and reminded that the party's program was approved by the delegates. Stating that a shadow cabinet was also formed outside the Central Executive Board (MYK) during this period, Bulut said that Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu is actively involved in both structures. Bulut said, "The shadow cabinet will inform the public about how we will govern this country and will become a structure that is an alternative to the government."

IMRALI VISIT AND COMMISSION DEBATE

Responding to a journalist's question regarding "the CHP not sending a member to the visit to be made to the Imralı High-Security Prison," Bulut stated that his party maintains its will for a solution but that they expect concrete steps regarding the methodology. Stating that Chairman Özgür Özel has previously made the necessary statements on this issue, Bulut expressed that the CHP will continue to contribute by taking an active role in the commission.

Bulut said that they will continue to take part in the commission and will do their best for the resolution of a vital issue that affects the country's future. He drew attention to the importance of concrete steps rather than formal situations and stated that this period is a process that demands concrete solutions. "We will continue to be there with all our might regarding the resolution of this issue," said Bulut, also touching upon the differing perspectives on the Imralı visit and its methodology.

CHP'S CONTRIBUTION TO THE RESOLUTION PROCESS

Bulut reiterated the CHP's solution-oriented stance by saying, "We have no problem with either the DEM Party or other parties. We will continue to be there with all our might regarding the resolution of this issue." Bulut stated that as a party, they aim to meet the public's expectations for a solution by taking concrete steps in the coming period as well.
