The Republican People's Party (CHP) has decided to call for an extraordinary session of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

CALL FROM CHP AFTER TİP

It was noted that the reason for the CHP's call for an extraordinary session is the ruling issued by the 3rd Criminal Chamber of the Court of Cassation regarding Can Atalay, who was elected as a deputy from the Workers' Party of Turkey (TİP).

The 3rd Criminal Chamber of the Court of Cassation had deliberated and reached a decision yesterday regarding the Constitutional Court's ruling on Can Atalay. Stating that "the Constitutional Court's ruling on the violation of rights has no legal value," the Chamber decided not to comply with the second violation of rights ruling as well. The decision noted that the Constitutional Court's ruling in question was an act of juristocracy.
