CHP Chairman Özgür Özel cast his vote in Saraçhane. While Özel was voting, citizens chanted 'Erdoğan without a diploma' slogans.

The vote we just cast is the most contradictory and paradoxical act in the history of world and Turkish politics. Just as we were about to determine our candidate, the judicial harassment against our candidate reached its peak, and a detention procedure was applied exactly today in a way that he would be arrested.

It has been said, 'If you run against me, I will have you arrested.' Exactly today, the CHP is making the voice of the people heard, not only with its members but also with solidarity ballot boxes.

We are coming to make our voices heard with our citizens who are pregnant, holding their children by the hand, or bent with age. What is being done today is an incredibly important step. İmamoğlu is on his way to prison, but he is also on his way to the presidency.

Today, a significant portion of our 1 million 700 thousand members will vote, but a solidarity vote of over 10 million will open the path that those who try to block İmamoğlu are trying to close.
