CHP delegates rush to notary: Signatures being collected for extraordinary congress

Following the court-ordered cancellation of the CHP Istanbul Provincial Congress and the removal of Özgür Çelik's administration, delegates in the CHP have taken action for an extraordinary congress. Queues for signatures have formed in front of notaries.

The CHP's Istanbul Provincial Congress has been cancelled by the Civil Court of First Instance. Following the decision, Provincial Chairman Özgür Çelik and his administration were removed from office. The court ruled for the appointment of a trustee in their place.

CALL FOR DELEGATES FROM ÖZEL

Making a statement after the decision, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel addressed the delegates and called on them to provide signatures for an extraordinary congress. Özel stated, "We will not leave the CHP Istanbul Provincial Presidency to trustees; we will continue on our path once again with the will of our delegates."

SIGNATURE QUEUES AT NOTARIES

Following the call, CHP delegates began providing signatures at notaries for the extraordinary congress request. Images reflected on social media showed delegates waiting in line at notaries and the moments of signing being recorded.

PETITION TEMPLATE FOR DELEGATES

It was learned that the CHP administration distributed a petition template to delegates to facilitate the signature process. In this way, it is aimed to accelerate the necessary process for the extraordinary congress.
