CHP delegation to visit 5 political prisoners at Silivri Prison
CHP leader Özgür Özel will visit five individuals imprisoned for political reasons at Silivri Prison before the start of 2025. The visit will include Gezi Park protests detainees Can Atalay, Osman Kavala, and Tayfun Kahraman, as well as former Progressive Lawyers Association (ÇHD) President Selçuk Kozağaçlı and the replaced Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Özer.

CHP leader Özgür Özel will visit five individuals who are said to be imprisoned for political reasons before the new year.
The CHP delegation, which will head to Silivri (Marmara) Prison tomorrow, will meet with Gezi Park protests detainees Can Atalay, Osman Kavala, and Tayfun Kahraman, as well as former Progressive Lawyers Association President Selçuk Kozağaçlı and the elected Mayor of Esenyurt, Ahmet Özer, who was replaced by a government-appointed trustee.
Özgür Özel will be accompanied on the visit by CHP Ankara MP Umut Akdoğan, CHP Muğla MP Gizem Özcan, CHP Istanbul MP Ali Gökçek, and CHP Edirne MP Baran Yazgan.
