CHP Istanbul MP Namık Tan has questioned Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan regarding allegations that two Ministry of Foreign Affairs employees died by suicide due to 'mobbing and severe pressure'.

According to a report by Senem Görür Yücel from Medyascope, the first question Tan directed to Hakan Fidan is as follows:

“It is alleged that in the first month of 2024, two Ministry of Foreign Affairs personnel, one at our embassy in Africa and the other in Latin America, ended their own lives, and that severe pressure and mobbing practices applied to both individuals were effective behind these events. Are these allegations true?”

Requesting information regarding administrative investigations into the matter, Tan asked, “Are these allegations true? If they are true, has any administrative investigation process been initiated regarding the subject? If they are not true, will your ministry take any action against those making the allegations?”
