CHP denies Sinan Ateş claim

Claims emerged that the name of Ceyhun Atuf Kansu Street, located in front of the MHP Headquarters in Balgat, Ankara, had been changed to "Sinan Ateş Street." However, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality and CHP officials denied these claims.
STREET NAME CHANGE CLAIM
According to a report in Günaydın Ankara, the claim that the name of Ceyhun Atuf Kansu Street, which is located in the Balgat district and passes in front of the MHP Headquarters, had been changed to "Sinan Ateş Street" spread rapidly on social media.
According to the claims, this change was voted on and accepted at the last meeting of the Ankara Metropolitan Municipal Council. It was further alleged that the proposal to change the street's name came from Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş.
DENIAL FROM CHP
CHP Deputy Chairman Burhanettin Bulut made a statement regarding these claims circulating on social media. Bulut stated that the claims do not reflect the truth and said:
“Reports appearing on social media that our Ankara Metropolitan Municipality has changed the name of the street where the MHP Headquarters is located to Sinan Ateş Street do not reflect the truth. Respectfully submitted to the public.”
