CHP deputies complain about Ali Mahir Başarır to Özgür Özel

CHP leader Özgür Özel, who held a meeting with deputies at his party's Antalya retreat, listened to grievances remaining from the party congress process and suggestions for the new term. It was learned that some deputies complained about Ali Mahir Başarır due to his attitude during the congress process.

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel met with deputies at his party's retreat in Antalya. 

During the meeting, the new administration formed after the congress, the events that took place during the congress, and the party's new roadmap were discussed.

It is stated that Özel opened the meeting with the words, "The congress is now behind us. From now on, we are together." It is reported that he opened the meeting with these expressions.

According to the report by Cumhuriyet; it was conveyed that during the closed session of the meeting, Özel listened to the evaluations coming from the parliamentary group and took notes accordingly. It was stated that some deputies conveyed their grievances and complaints remaining from the congress period to Özel and said that these had not yet been resolved. 

'DUAL LEADERSHIP' CRITICISM

Furthermore, at the meeting, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğluwas criticized for being too prominent during the congress process, which was allegedly perceived in the press as a "dual-headed administration."

SOME DEPUTIES COMPLAIN ABOUT ALİ MAHİR BAŞARIR

It was noted that some deputies complained about CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır due to his statements during the congress period. It was also reported that tensions occasionally rose in the hall due to these criticisms. It was stated that complaints regarding the reinstatement of Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan were also voiced at the meeting.

HOW DID ÖZEL RESPOND TO THE CRITICISMS?

It was stated that CHP leader Özel received the criticisms with respect, did not react harshly, and noted them all down to provide the necessary explanations to the group. The deputies, who reportedly made speeches criticizing the current administration within the party, "The congress process is behind us, we are all together now. Our wish is for there to be no resentment. We will all work for the election" they assessed.
