CHP Datça District Chair Sezai Öz has announced that he is resigning from his position. Stating that he is leaving his post due to health and family reasons, Öz noted that he maintains his ties to his party, will continue his political work, and will continue to support the change process led by the CHP.

The statement included an emphasis on support for the party leadership, particularly for Özgür Özel and Ekrem İmamoğlu.

In his statement, Öz noted the following:

"I am resigning from my position as the Republican People's Party Datça District Chair, which I have carried out with great honor, due to health and family reasons. This was not an easy decision for me to make. Because for me, the Republican People's Party is not just a political party; it is the ancestral home of my belief in the Republic, democracy, justice, and the will of the people. Throughout my tenure, I strove to engage in politics in Datça with a focus on equal service, equal distance, and a unifying approach. Together with our Board of Directors, we tried to approach every citizen with the same sense of responsibility, without marginalizing anyone. Every step we took in this city, every bond we formed, and every struggle we waged has a special place in my conscience."

"Today, I am leaving a post; however, I am not leaving the struggle, the responsibility, or my party. I will continue to stand by the will for change put forward by our Chairman Mr. Özgür Özel, our presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, and the Republican People's Party, just as I have from the beginning of the process, both today and tomorrow. For me, politics has never been a career plan; politics is a responsibility required by active citizenship toward this country, this city, and our people. I am always at the disposal of my party. Wherever and in whatever capacity I am needed, I am ready to work as a foot soldier. I would like to thank all my fellow travelers with whom I walked this path, our organization, and my fellow citizens of Datça. Please forgive me. I forgive you."
