CHP grants all citizens the right to vote to determine İmamoğlu's candidacy! How will non-members vote?

After the detention of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, the CHP, which has opened the primary election to determine its presidential candidate to all citizens, will also set up "Solidarity Ballot Boxes" next to the primary ballot boxes within this scope. Citizens who go to the party's provincial and district headquarters will be able to support İmamoğlu even if they are not CHP members. 

WHAT TIME WILL VOTING TAKE PLACE?

The CHP will hold the presidential primary, in which Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu is the sole candidate, this Sunday. As in a real general election, voting will begin after 8:00 AM and end at 5:00 PM. Any citizen who becomes a member of the CHP by 5:00 PM tomorrow evening will be able to vote in the party's primary ballot box. For citizens who are not members of the party, a "Solidarity Ballot Box" will be placed next to the primary ballot box. 

THE SECOND BALLOT BOX IS OPEN TO EVERYONE

According to information provided by CHP Deputy Chairman Gül Çiftci, all citizens who say, "I also want to come and stand against these injustices," will be able to vote in this Solidarity Ballot Box, whether they are party members or not. Citizens will not be asked for identification information or contact numbers to vote in the Solidarity Ballot Box. Sharing this information will be at the individual's own discretion. On the day of the primary, in addition to the party's provincial and district headquarters, voting will be possible in market areas, sports halls, designated buildings in neighborhoods, and many other locations.
