CHP Group holds closed-door meeting in Parliament: Murat Emir announces decisions were made unanimously

The CHP Parliamentary Group held a closed-door group meeting at the Parliament. CHP Chairman Özgür Özel did not attend the meeting, which was chaired by CHP Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir.

80 deputies took part in the meeting, which lasted approximately 15 minutes. Speaking to journalists after the meeting, Emir stated that the decisions taken were accepted unanimously.

''We held our closed-door group meeting. Important decisions needed to be made. We took those decisions unanimously. Beyond this, if there are developments that need to be shared or that our Chairman will announce personally, we will report them.''

CHP İstanbul Deputy Suat Özçağdaş also said in his assessment regarding the meeting that a short agenda was discussed. Özçağdaş stated, “There is nothing you do not know. At the end of the day, we are moving step by step along the line that our Chairman has shared with the public.”

In the call letter sent to the deputies, it was seen that the meeting agenda consisted of the headings “Roll call, reading and submitting the group account to a vote, and announcements by the Group Presidency.”
