Resignation decision from CHP Hatay Provincial Chair: 'A necessity of knowing how to stand tall'
CHP Hatay Provincial Chair Hakan Tiryaki has resigned from his post. In his statement, Tiryaki alleged that Lütfü Savaş's administrative staff worked against him and engaged in deceptive practices.

CHP Provincial Chair Hakan Tiryaki, who had previously stated he would resign if Hatay Mayoral candidate Lütfü Savaş lost the election, has resigned from his post via a written statement.
"MANY UNLAWFUL AND DUBIOUS SITUATIONS..."
Stating that officials within the party ranks worked against Lütfü Savaş, Tiryaki said the following:
“Despite the deceptive and adverse efforts of officials within the party ranks against Mr. Lütfü Savaş, secret alliances, interest groups, the bureaucracy—especially the Hatay Governor and Ministers—and their political activities across Hatay, as well as many unlawful, dubious situations and irregularities, we have lost the election in our ancient city of 1 million voters by only 2500 votes," he said.
"WE LOST BY A NARROW MARGIN"
Expressing that they lost the Hatay Metropolitan Municipality due to many unlawful acts and irregularities, that they protected Erzin, and that they raised the CHP flag in Dörtyol for the first time in 44 years, Tiryaki stated, “We lost İskenderun by a narrow margin, and we lost the devastated city of Antakya for various reasons. Although we won Defne, one of our party's strongholds, our vote share dropped, and we lost Samandağ.”
"I WILL CONTINUE TO BE A SOLDIER OF THE PARTY"
Stating that they continued to fight against the unlawful and political decision issued by the YSK throughout the election process alongside provincial and district administrators, as well as women's and youth branches, Tiryaki noted that he resigned as a responsibility for the defeat and as a necessity of knowing how to stand tall behind their candidate, but that he would continue to be a soldier of his party.
