CITED THE CONSTITUTION AS AN EXAMPLE
CHP Group Deputy Chair Gülizar Biçer Karaca made an assessment regarding the 'crisis in the judiciary'. Pointing to the constitution as an example for the regulation concerning the resolution of the Court of Cassation's decision against AYM members, Karaca also reacted to the government.
"Article 158/3 of the Constitution contains provisions for the so-called 'crisis' that they are trying to create.
It is sufficient to 'read' and 'apply' the Constitution.
The clamor for a 'new constitution' finds no basis on any legal ground.
One cannot sit at the constitutional table with a mentality that does not apply the existing constitutional order, ignores it, and attempts to destroy the remaining crumbs of society's trust in justice."
