CHP leader Özgür Özel gives a date: 'The election will come in 2025'

CHP leader Özgür Özel answered questions regarding the current agenda. Özel made important assessments regarding the lieutenants dismissed from the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK), the investigation launched against CHP İzmir MP Tuncay Özkan, and the processes for determining a presidential candidate.

THE ISSUE OF THE LIEUTENANTS

Whoever gave the disciplinary order to the lieutenants should be the one facing disciplinary action.

Erdoğan launched an investigation 8 days after he saluted and congratulated the lieutenants, following a social media lynching campaign. The lieutenants will surely get their justice from the 'tall man' one day.

EXPERT REPORT ON THE BOLU FIRE

There is an official expert report following what they called 'pirate'. They did not include the expert report in the file. The document's authorization certificate has also emerged.

The Minister of Justice must first apologize to those victimized people he manipulated and to our nation.

Ministers will resign as if it were a normal revision at the Grand Congress. One of them will be the Minister of Culture and Tourism. The real purpose here is to prevent harm from coming to their own party.

THE CANDIDACY ISSUE

The ballot box will come in 2025. We will work for this. This nation has withdrawn its support from this government. We have also started the candidate determination process.

I called all the elected officials of the party. The collective wisdom is now leaning towards our candidate being determined.

We said, let's open up memberships during this process and include everyone who wants to have a say in the presidential candidacy into the CHP.

Membership applications have increased 10-12 fold. We are carrying out an intensive registration process. It is as if voter registration is being conducted in Turkey.

Our doors are open to all our citizens who are not members of the CHP but want to have a say in determining the candidate.

MANSUR YAVAŞ'S SILIVRI REMARK

First, we will get Suat Toktaş out, and then we will close Silivri. Under our government, there will be no pre-execution system. There will be no summary justice.

REGARDING THE INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED AGAINST TUNCAY ÖZKAN

An allegation has been put forward. Instead of investigating this allegation, they are launching an investigation against Tuncay Özkan. The Chief Public Prosecutor should take Tuncay Özkan's statement. It is a malicious investigation. Of course, it requires proof, but take Özkan's information first. That is why the perspective on the matter is very wrong.
