CHP leader Özgür Özel made assessments regarding the agenda during a program he attended on Now TV.
Touching upon the mining disaster in Erzincan, Özel said, "It is necessary to hold those who signed that document that day accountable."
CHP leader Özel stated that the families of the citizens trapped under the soil mentioned cracks, and that these statements were included in the preliminary report prepared by the CHP.
Evaluating the words of President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan regarding Hatay, Özel said that the people of Hatay were punished for their previous votes and are being blackmailed for their future votes.
Highlights from Özel's statements are as follows:
There is a dimension of lies to the issue; it creates such an impression; Kahramanmaraş, Adıyaman, Malatya, what did you do there?
We are at 13.5 percent of those who said they would enter their homes in a year.
Everyone wants a female candidate in the neighboring district. Everyone wants to see a young person on the list, but not on the list they are a candidate for.
Throughout the history of the Republic, we have had 6 female mayors; on this list, we have 9 mayoral candidates.
RESPONSE TO AKŞENER
Responding to IYI Party Chair Meral Akşener, who criticized Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu by saying "their hands are in their headquarters," Özel said, "I have a response in two sentences; may she be well."
WILL LÜTFÜ SAVAŞ WITHDRAW HIS CANDIDACY?
We are analyzing what is happening in Hatay very carefully. We conducted 5 polls in Hatay.
We could not develop an alternative that surpasses Lütfü Savaş; I said we continued to measure and would conduct new polls.
We conducted the poll until the last moment; the poll results arrived on Saturday night. We called Mr. Lütfü but could not reach him. We will talk to Mr. Lütfü shortly today.
That poll says that if we develop an alternative in Hatay, we will win the election. We will evaluate the poll with Mr. Lütfü as well. There is a need for a Hatay Alliance. We will do our part to establish the Hatay alliance.
If necessary, I will work for 36 hours and lend the most attentive ear to the voice in Hatay.
We will talk to Mr. Lütfü and develop the right alternative.
