First statement from CHP's Sarıgül regarding those images: 'We will hold them accountable...'

CHP MP Mustafa Sarıgül stated that the video contains montage and blackmail, saying, "We will hold the scoundrels who make these ugly slanders and threats accountable in court."

Sarıgül's statement is as follows:

"The video published about me contains montage, blackmail, and threats. We will share the necessary examination reports from Turkey's most important and reliable criminal forensic experts with the public. We will hold the scoundrels who make these ugly slanders and threats against me and my family accountable before the judiciary."

 

NEW STATEMENT FROM SARIGÜL

Making a new post on his social media account, Sarıgül noted the following:

"In my 50-year political life, I have faced many difficulties and obstacles, but I have never encountered such treachery, such a despicable incident. The truth will surely come to light. I want you to know this; conscience will one day completely defeat tyranny and injustice."

FIRST STATEMENT FROM SARIGÜL'S LAWYERS

A statement came from Sarıgül's lawyers regarding the images circulating on social media.

In the statement, it was said, "It has been confirmed and reported by the national criminal bureau that examined the images that the images do not belong to our client Mustafa SARIGÜL, and this has been submitted to the necessary judicial authorities as of this morning."

'PUBLICATION BAN IMPOSED'

The statement included the following expressions:

It has been confirmed and reported by the national criminal bureau that examined the images that the images in the video, which appears to have been published on social media and websites with the claim that it is related to our client Mustafa SARIGÜL, do not belong to our client Mustafa SARIGÜL, and this has been submitted to the necessary judicial authorities as of this morning.

Regarding the publication of the video in question, the Istanbul 3rd Criminal Court of Peace has issued a publication ban decision with file number 2024/182447 E. We underline that all accounts that share this video, which is the subject of a crime, on their social media accounts and assist in its spread have been recorded, and that prosecutor's complaints regarding these account holders who are complicit in the crime have been processed.

We present to the public's information that all individuals and organizations that are complicit in the crime with the aim of gaining interaction on social media accounts will be held judicially and criminally accountable as permitted by law, without any discrimination.
