CHP's Bakan shared a photo on his social media account showing a large quantity of weapons, all of which are long-barreled, and directed important questions to Minister of Interior Yerlikaya.
Stating that a quantity of weapons capable of endangering the lives of millions of citizens was seized by the yunus units, CHP Deputy Chairman responsible for the Ministry of Interior and İzmir MP Murat Bakan asked what could be done with such an amount of weaponry.
The questions Bakan directed to Minister of Interior Yerlikaya regarding the operation in question are as follows:
“The weapons seized by yunus units in Istanbul yesterday. What could be done with this amount of weapons? Considering that this is only the portion that was seized, how many more weapons might there be that have not been seized? Considering that there are millions of irregular migrants of different nationalities residing in Turkey, what kind of risk does this pose to our national security? Has Turkey become both a target country and a route for arms trafficking, just as it has for drug trafficking? What is the origin of these weapons? We are waiting for a statement from Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya tomorrow.”
