CHP official announces: Assad has accepted, Özgür Özel is going to Damascus
CHP Deputy Chairman Burhanettin Bulut announced that CHP leader Özgür Özel will travel to Damascus, the capital of Syria, to meet with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Participating in the program titled Yeni Bir Sabah (A New Morning) hosted by Gözde Şeker on Halk TV, CHP Deputy Chairman Burhanettin Bulut made important statements regarding CHP Chairman Özgür Özel's visit to Syria.
Reminding of the Syrian refugee crisis and the Tomb of Suleyman Shah, which is within Turkey's sovereign territory in Syria, Bulut stated that Özel would travel to the country for a solution.
Bulut stated that they had contacted the Damascus administration and received a positive response regarding the visit.
"A POSITIVE RESPONSE WAS RECEIVED"
CHP's Bulut said the following:
"The intention for a meeting, the resolution of these issues, and the expression of intent have been met with a response. From now on, only the maturation of conditions, where the meeting will take place, and the date will be discussed. We conveyed our request for a meeting, and a positive response was received from Damascus"
