The Republican People's Party (CHP) Party Assembly (PM) convened today at the headquarters under the chairmanship of Chairman Özgür Özel. The main agenda item of the meeting was the preparations for the Extraordinary Statute Congress, which will be held between September 4-9.

The congress will begin in Sivas on September 4 and continue in Ankara on September 5. In this context, CHP PM members met under the chairmanship of Chairman Özgür Özel to exchange views on the statute text.

Secretary General Selin Sayek Böke, Deputy Chairman for Legal and Election Affairs Gül Çiftci, Deputy Chairman for Domestic and International Organization Ensar Aytekin, and Treasurer Özgür Karabat took part in the presidential council. During the meeting, which was held behind closed doors, the views and suggestions of the PM members regarding the changes to be made to the statute were received.

PRESS CONFERENCE EXPECTED AT HEADQUARTERS

In addition, the CHP parliamentary group is also expected to hold a closed-door meeting at the headquarters today at 16:00. In this meeting, the views of the deputies on the statute will be heard.
