As political tensions continue in Turkey, CHP Party Assembly member Ali Abbas Ertürk has expressed his concerns regarding the health condition of imprisoned Beylikdüzü Mayor Murat Çalık.

Ertürk stated that Çalık, who has beaten cancer twice and lost 18 kilograms in prison, is at risk of a cancer recurrence.

'THOSE WHO CONDEMN HIM TO DEATH...'

Ertürk stated, "If anything happens to our Mayor Murat Çalık, let no one try to pass it off as a natural death," adding that keeping Çalık in prison in İzmir is unlawful.

Criticizing the members of the judiciary and the government responsible for this situation, CHP Party Assembly member Ertürk said, "Those who condemn him to death there today will be held responsible if anything happens to him."

Touching upon the pressures faced by the CHP, Ertürk said, "Even if the government, backed by the power of the state, attacks our party, the power of the people will prevail."

Sending greetings from Malatya to presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu and imprisoned party members, he expressed that the support of the people of Malatya would pave the way for freedom.
