The Republican People's Party (CHP) is continuing its series of rallies launched in response to the arrest of its presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu. The 11th event in the series, held in a different city each week, will take place on Sunday, June 22, at 19:00 at Cumhuriyet Square in the Süleymanpaşa district of Tekirdağ.

Organized under the leadership of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, the rallies highlight demands for İmamoğlu's freedom and early elections. Since İmamoğlu was taken into custody on March 19, party members and citizens have been gathering at various locations, most notably in Saraçhane, to express their reactions.

WHAT HAD HAPPENED?

Along with İmamoğlu, several CHP mayors, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality employees, and high-level bureaucrats were also arrested. Following these developments, the CHP leadership decided to hold a rally in an Istanbul district every Wednesday and in a different city every Saturday. It was announced that this week's rally within Istanbul will be held in Avcılar.

High attendance is expected at the CHP's rally in Tekirdağ.
