CHP provincial chairs meeting concludes: Party congress date set
At the Provincial Chairs and Party Assembly meeting chaired by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, it was decided to hold a party congress with an agenda focused on charter amendments between September 6-9.

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel chaired a meeting of Provincial Chairs and the Party Assembly (PM), where a decision was reached unanimously to hold a congress for the purpose of amending the party charter.
The charter congress, scheduled for September 6-9, will begin its first phase with a symbolic opening in Sivas on September 4. The congress will then move to Ankara on September 5 and continue until September 9.
TO BEGIN ON THE 105TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE SIVAS CONGRESS
During the meeting, it was planned for the congress to commence on the 105th anniversary of the Sivas Congress. Following the opening in Sivas, the congress will continue its work in Ankara. It was stated that a 90-person commission will be formed on September 5 to make decisions regarding the charter.
The official charter congress will begin on September 6, with program workshops to be held on September 7-8. A visit to Anıtkabir and a reception will be held on September 9.
The main agenda items of the meeting included charter amendments, primary elections, and term limits for the chairmanship.
Furthermore, it was emphasized that the CHP will place greater importance on digital democracy and gauging the public pulse. Digital platforms and surveys will be utilized to increase the participation of party organizations in the processes.
It was also learned that a system will be implemented in the coming period where provincial chairs will present report cards of municipalities to the headquarters, and the performance of local administrations will be evaluated. Proposals such as introducing term limits for party management and bodies, and increasing the number of members in the Party Assembly were also voiced during the meeting.
In this context, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel stated that the party aims to conduct the congress efficiently by prioritizing a democratic charter and organizational participation.
