The debate sparked by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel's remarks, "Abdurrahman Tutdere grabbed the minister by the lapels, they barely pulled them apart," continues. Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum responded to Özel's account by releasing a video, stating, "He is taking firm steps toward becoming the 'Ziya' of Turkish politics."

CHP'S RESPONSE WAS SWIFT

The CHP's response to Murat Kurum was not long in coming.

CHP Deputy Chairman in charge of Public Relations and Media Relations and Adana MP Burhanettin Bulut stated that the minister Özel was referring to was not Kurum, saying, "Ask the ministers from that period and learn who it was."

Quoting Kurum's post, Bulut shared the following message:

"You're being overly sensitive, Murat Kurum!

Our Chairman, Mr. Özgür Özel, did not mention your name, and the minister he was referring to is not you.

You are not the only minister in the Palace's cabinet who does not answer to the citizens.

Don't make yourself look ridiculous just to have the last word!

Ask the ministers from that period and learn who it was..."
