People's Alliance Istanbul candidate Murat Kurum made an election promise on his social media account, stating, "We will complete the Sefaköy-Avcılar-Beylikdüzü metro line in the first 5 years."

Kurum used the following expressions:

"We will complete the Sefaköy-Avcılar-Beylikdüzü metro line, which will strengthen and relieve the Metrobus corridor with our rail system lines, in the first 5 years. With our 18 km line, we will both reduce traffic on the E-5 and make public transportation faster, more modern, and more comfortable."

CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik responded to Kurum on his X account, stating that the metro line project was ready and was being held up for a signature.

"OUR METRO LINE HAS BECOME AN ELECTION PROMISE"

Çelik said the following in his post:

"Our metro line, which has been held up for a single signature despite its project and financing being ready, and for which construction permission has been denied for years, has now become an election promise.

It seems the future and living comfort of 16 million people are not important for signing; you just need a seat."
