CHP's new press advisor's posts about Kılıçdaroğlu spark controversy: 'Will you be able to look Ekrem Bey in the face?'

Following the selection of journalist Fatih Ertürk for the press advisor position within the CHP Parliamentary Group, Ertürk's past social media posts have become the subject of a new debate within the party.
The past statements made by Ertürk, who has begun his role as an advisor to CHP Group Chairman Faik Öztrak, regarding Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu have resurfaced. It has been alleged that these posts have been circulating among some party officials at the CHP Headquarters.
It was reported that in a post dated March 19, 2025, regarding the detention of Ekrem İmamoğlu, Ertürk used the following expressions for Kılıçdaroğlu: “Kemal Bey, you were the first to push the button. Are you happy now? Will you be able to look Ekrem Bey in the face?”
It was also stated that in a reply Ertürk gave under the same post on March 20, 2025, he criticized Kılıçdaroğlu with harsh words. In the aforementioned reply, it was noted that Ertürk claimed Kılıçdaroğlu mentioned the phrase “bags full of money” and that the cancellation of the party congress and the possibility of appointing trustees were being discussed.
Ertürk, who announced his new role on his social media account, stated that he decided to support the CHP by suspending the active part of his profession. Ertürk said, “As long as the Republic of Turkey exists and this red flag waves in the skies, the Republican People's Party will exist.”
Emphasizing Atatürk and the founding of the CHP in his post, Ertürk said, “I call on everyone who believes in the unshakable future of this country, who has a bright face, and who believes in modernity, peace, and brotherhood, to join hands under this great roof of the great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.”
In CHP corridors, all eyes are now on Faik Öztrak, as it is wondered whether he will continue to work with Ertürk. Ertürk, known for his journalism career in Ankara, has worked for many years as a parliamentary correspondent, representative, and program host.
