CHP Party Assembly member and Chair of the Youth and Sports Policy Board, Attorney Sevgi Kılıç, announced in a statement on her social media account that she has initiated legal proceedings due to remarks directed at her.
Reacting to the rhetoric targeting her in the post, Kılıç stated, "Disgraceful trolls are not a counterpart for me or any other female politician." Kılıç emphasized that the real struggle is against the sexist language targeting female politicians and the political mindset that fuels this language.
Continuing her statement, Kılıç said, "I am initiating legal proceedings against this individual. We will never bow to bullying," and emphasized that she would not take a step back against insults and targeting directed at female politicians.
It was noted that Özgür Çelik, who made the post in question, was among the individuals granted "entry permission" to the provincial building by Gürsel Tekin, who was appointed as a trustee to the management of the CHP İstanbul Provincial Presidency.
The name similarity between the Özgür Çelik mentioned in the news and the former CHP İstanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik, who was removed from office by a court decision, also drew attention. It was noted that a "precautionary expulsion" process was initiated in September 2025 against the Çelik who made the post.
