The CHP will hold a comprehensive workshop between September 4-9 to renew its party program. This process, initiated in line with the decision taken at the extraordinary bylaws congress held last year, is nearing its conclusion.
Preparations led by Secretary General Selin Sayek Böke, with the contributions of Central Executive Board members, are focusing on topics such as education, health, justice, economy, and domestic and foreign policy. During this process, the CHP's organizations in 81 provinces and 973 districts are prioritizing field studies to gauge societal expectations. The opinions and demands collected through provincial presidencies are being forwarded to the headquarters.
In addition to CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, Central Executive Board members, Party Assembly members, and party members from 81 provincial organizations will attend the workshop to be held in Ankara. The results obtained at the workshop will be presented to the vote of 1,323 delegates at the 39th Ordinary Congress, which is planned to be held in November. According to the party bylaws, the approval of an absolute majority of the total number of congress members will be required for a program change.
