The CHP has filed a complaint regarding the IMM frame-up market, which CHP Chairman Özgür Özel announced during the IMM Tuzla rally. In a press statement regarding the complaint, CHP Deputy Chairman Gül Çiftci made the following remarks:
"We have submitted our petition of complaint to the HSK regarding the IMM frame-up market, which our Chairman Özgür Özel announced at the Tuzla rally. In the annex to the petition, we have presented the evidence in our possession, as well as evidence of the decay, the network of dirty relationships, and the politicization within the judiciary.
It has been revealed that arbitrary, politically motivated investigations detached from the law have been conducted, targeting our CHP mayors, local administrators, and colleagues, and that messages have been sent using symbols that leave traumatic marks on Turkey's political life.
'THEY BARGAINED BY SAYING IF YOU PAY THIS AMOUNT, YOU WILL BE RELEASED'
We have shared with you many times, with evidence, that during these investigations, the presumption of innocence and the principle of legal certainty were violated, lawyers were prevented from performing their duties, and the right to defense was restricted. With the petition we submitted today, we are uncovering a second and darker face of this frame-up and sharing it with the HSK.
Our documents are clear and explicit. To use the words of the lawyer mentioned in these documents, who has previously appeared in the press and who claims to have a close relationship with one of the prosecutors, this lawyer went to the families of those in custody and bargained by saying, "If you give this statement, you will be released," or "If you pay this amount, you will be released." It has been revealed that the statements were written in advance under the direction of the prosecutor, and it is clear that the statements that were attempted to be forced upon the victims, in the words of the lawyer in question, were fabricated beforehand.
'IF YOU DON'T SAY YOU BROUGHT MONEY, YOU CAN'T BE RELEASED'
Furthermore, it is already clear from the lawyer's meetings with the families that the prosecutor provided this lawyer with stories that they claim to be true, which were found in files under confidentiality orders, and that they conducted business through this lawyer. Audio recordings and screenshots reveal the truth about the IMM frame-up investigation, and these have also been submitted to the HSK. The families who were targeted to be victimized by this network of dirty relationships have filed a criminal complaint against this lawyer.
This lawyer told the person mentioned in the investigation—and I am quoting directly from the complaint petition filed by this person: "You cannot be released without saying that you brought money to Fatih Keleş or Zafer Keleş." The person who was being targeted for victimization replied, "I cannot say this, this is a lie." It emerges from the words spilled from the mouth of lawyer Mehmet Yıldırım that these people are not confessors, but slanderers.
'ALL EVIDENCE MUST BE COLLECTED'
Dear friends, this is not just a violation of judicial ethics, but also the embodiment of multiple crimes defined in the Turkish Penal Code (TCK). Unfortunately, this power, this organized evil that is being attempted to be operated by the judiciary under the shadow of the political government, is the reason for the persecution suffered by Mehmet Murat Çalık, Kadriye Kasapoğlu, Elif İpek Atay, Ramazan Gülten, and many of our innocent colleagues. They have created a crime network, a frame-up market, producing crimes with non-existent evidence. They have committed and are committing many crimes, from threats to blackmail, and from blackmail to influence peddling, under the shadow of a politicized judiciary. While doing all this, they have felt no shame, neither for themselves, nor for their families, nor, unfortunately, for the robes they wear. The evidence we submitted today and the criminal complaints filed against the lawyer in question show us one single truth: the operations carried out against the CHP, the CHP's presidential candidate, and all municipalities have collapsed.
Our call to the HSK from here is clear and explicit: they must not remain silent in the face of today's evidence and must uncover the truth. It is very clear that a judicial and administrative investigation must be launched immediately against the prosecutor we have complained about. All HTS records and WhatsApp histories must be examined, and this evidence must be collected. Please do not ignore this criminal organization, which is defined as the IMM frame-up market and which has collapsed with the evidence we have presented."
