In the Republican People's Party (CHP) Central Executive Board (MYK) and Party Assembly (PM) meeting, mayoral candidates for 4 provinces, including 3 metropolitan municipalities, and 11 districts were announced. Meanwhile, no changes were made to the candidates for Hatay and İzmir, which had been the subject of controversy.

As the local elections approach, candidate selection efforts continue within the Republican People's Party (CHP).

The CHP held its Central Executive Board (MYK) and Party Assembly (PM) meeting in two rounds.

According to the report on NTV; while no changes were made to the candidates in Hatay and İzmir, candidates were announced for 4 provinces, including 3 metropolitan municipalities, and 11 additional districts.

The Malatya Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate is Malatya MP Veli Ağbaba. Zekai Sana was determined as the Ordu Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate, and Murat Molu as the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate. Abdurrahman Tutdere was nominated in Adıyaman, one of the provinces hit by the earthquake.

Out of the 39 districts in Istanbul, 28 had been determined previously. In the meeting, candidates for 11 more districts were announced. In 6 districts, including Kadıköy, the incumbent mayors were not nominated. Mesut Kösedağ in Kadıköy, Ali Ercan Akpolat in Adalar, Utku Caner Çaykara in Avcılar, Oktay Aksu in Sarıyer, Ayşegül Ovalıoğlu in Bakırköy, and Ali Gökmen in Esenyurt were nominated.

The candidate for Çankaya, a stronghold of the CHP in Ankara, was also determined. The era of Alper Taşdelen, who has served as the Mayor of Çankaya for two terms, has come to an end. Hüseyin Can Güner was nominated for Çankaya to replace Taşdelen.
