CHP's eastern tour: Listening to problems on the ground!

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel plans to visit Eastern and Southeastern Anatolian provinces such as Mardin, Batman, and Diyarbakır at the end of October. Özel, who will carry out the eastern tour he previously had to postpone due to a broken foot, will meet with provincial organizations and citizens to listen to the region's problems. Emphasizing that the CHP is now a party of all seven regions, Özel stated, "We will make our voice heard across Turkey from all seven regions." This visit is seen as an effort by the CHP to increase its influence in the east.

As part of his eastern tour, Özel will meet with provincial organizations and citizens in many provinces, primarily Mardin, Batman, and Diyarbakır. In his eastern tour program, Özel will also meet with professional chambers, representatives of non-governmental organizations, and opinion leaders in the provinces he visits to gather information regarding the region's problems and demands.

'THE CHP IS NOW A PARTY OF ALL SEVEN REGIONS'

According to an ANKA report, Özel met separately with the provincial chairs of the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia regions during the CHP Provincial Chairs meeting held in Muğla over the weekend. In his speech before the meeting, Özel had emphasized that the CHP would be conducting politics in all seven regions in the coming days.

Özel had stated, "We will make our voice heard across Turkey from all seven regions. Those who once accused the CHP of being confined to the coasts, of being only a party of the coastline, and of being unable to pass east of Sivas, were defining a geographical area full of pride for themselves. The CHP is the only party that has provincial mayors in all seven regions. The CHP is no longer the party of the coasts and shores; it is the leading party of all seven regions, 81 provinces, and 973 districts."
