The Republican People's Party (CHP) is adding a new event to the "The Nation Protects Its Will" rallies it has been organizing in Istanbul following the arrest of presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu.
The rally, which will be held in Avcılar this Wednesday, will begin at 20:30 on Marmara Street.
Following the rallies previously held in Istanbul in Şişli, Beylikdüzü, Başakşehir, Beyazıt Square, Silivri, Pendik, Esenler, and Gaziosmanpaşa, the ninth meeting will take place in Avcılar.
CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik stated in a post on the social media platform X, "We are protecting our nation's will together with our nation! We continue to defend our presidential candidate, our mayors elected by the lawful votes of our people, and our fellow travelers; we continue to fill the squares. Either all together or none of us."
