In the İYİ Party, which has been experiencing a series of resignations and ongoing internal crises, it has been claimed that Deputy Chairman Ahmet Zeki Üçok will be dismissed from his post.
Speaking to Hilal Köylü from serbestiyet.com, Üçok stated, "I have also heard rumors that I have been dismissed, but it has not yet been made official."
Üçok said the following:
"Just as the authority to select members of the executive board in the İYİ Party lies with the chairperson, the authority to dismiss them also lies with the chairperson. Everything is at the chairperson's discretion."
"I ADVOCATE FOR COOPERATION WITH THE CHP"
In his statement, Üçok touched upon the presentation he made using maps regarding cooperation with the CHP in the local elections.
Ahmet Zeki Üçok expressed the following:
"I previously made my map-based presentation to our chairperson, Meral Akşener, regarding how the party could win if it were to cooperate with the CHP. She told me to make this presentation to the GİK (General Administrative Board). However, at the GİK meeting, she asked me to only provide a verbal explanation and to abandon the map-based presentation."
"I advocate for cooperation with the CHP, but the GİK decided to reject cooperation," said Üçok, adding, "I respect this decision. I have not been doing this map-based work for just three days. I have been doing it for months with my friends around me. As if this were unknown, I was approached with unseemly and inappropriate criticisms after the GİK meeting. This is not how it should be. It should not have been this way."
