Republican People's Party (CHP) efforts to determine provincial and district mayoral candidates for the local elections are ongoing.
Candidates for 227 electoral districts were announced at the CHP Party Assembly meeting held yesterday (December 14).
According to the report by Mustafa Bildircin from Birgün, it was learned that all the names of the candidates were passed by the Party Assembly unanimously. Candidates for metropolitan cities such as Adana and Mersin were not announced due to strategy. Another city that was not announced was İzmir, which the public is eagerly awaiting.

According to information obtained from party sources, the re-nomination of Aydın Metropolitan Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu will be finalized following the Party Assembly meeting to be held in the week of December 18. Candidates for metropolitan cities other than Ankara and Istanbul, where the re-nominations of Ekrem İmamoğlu and Mansur Yavaş have been finalized, will also be announced to the public gradually.
