It is alleged that Bağcılar Mayor Abdullah Özdemir had AKP District Chairman Rüstem Tüysüz beaten by members of the Ülkü Ocakları following the announcement of election results.

THE ARGUMENT MOVED FROM THE HALL TO THE ROOM

According to a report by Timur Soykan from Birgün, after the election results were finalized, Özdemir arrived at the AKP District Headquarters with Bağcılar Ülkü Ocakları President Emre Dağcı and stated in a harsh speech there, “We will not engage in fake heroism. If anyone is to be held accountable, I will be the first to do so.”

Following this speech, Abdullah Özdemir and District Chairman Rüstem Tüysüz moved into a room. Allegedly, Tüysüz reacted to Özdemir, asking, “Why are you saying these things?” At that moment, a group from the Ülkü Ocakları and the AKP Youth Branch entered the room and began to assault Tüysüz.

Police protection and chief of staff Abdurrahman Gök took Tüysüz out of the room and brought him to a safe place. With the arrival of police at the scene, security measures were taken around the District Headquarters, but according to camera footage, the crowd continued to wait.

ASSAULT ALLEGATIONS AND BATHROOM RAID

Allegedly, the incident did not end there. In the camera footage, it is seen that one of the Bağcılar Ülkü Ocakları executives is acting in coordination with municipal employee Ramiz Beşinci. It is stated that when Abdurrahman Gök went to the bathroom, Ramiz Beşinci signaled to the Ülkü Ocakları members.

Gök, who entered the bathroom, was assaulted by 3-4 Ülkü Ocakları members with clubs and brass knuckles. Gök, who fainted due to blows to his head, was taken outside by AKP members after a while.

POLICE DID NOT INTERVENE

It is claimed that while Bağcılar Police Department teams were in the area during the incident, they did not intervene, and furthermore, no action was taken despite the Bağcılar Police Chief arriving at the scene.

According to the allegations, a job offer at the municipality was made to the Bağcılar Ülkü Ocakları President following the incident.

There has been no official statement from the parties involved regarding the security camera footage and the allegations.
