A condolence program was held in the Yüksekova district of Hakkari for 29 PKK terrorists who died at different times. DEM Party Co-Chair Tülay Hatimoğulları also attended the program, which took place at the Çayır Wedding Hall on the Dağlıca Road.

Speaking at the program, Hatimoğulları said, “My condolences to the Kurdish people. They fell to the ground so that the Kurdish people could live in this geography with their heads held high. Those who fell to the ground joined the struggle for the Kurdish people, who have been ignored for centuries, by saying, ‘No, Kurds exist. They are the ancient people of this geography.’ As a result of this struggle, which has been going on for 50 years, no one can deny the Kurds anymore.” she stated.

Former AKP Gaziantep Deputy Şamil Tayyar reacted to Hatimoğulları's speech. Drawing attention to the language used in such programs, Tayyar emphasized that the statements made increase social tension.

In his statement, Tayyar said, “They continue to hold ‘martyr’ ceremonies for members of the terrorist organization in different provinces and continue to send ‘separatist’ messages. By saying ‘the four parts of the Kurdistan geography,’ they continue to use a ‘divisive language’ for both Turkey and the countries in the region. They are playing with the nerves of society and provoking it.” he said.
