According to a statement by the Directorate of Communications, AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan held a phone call with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
The call addressed Israel's attacks on Palestinian territories and efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.
During the call, Erdoğan stated that it is important for Islamic countries to continue their efforts to ensure a permanent ceasefire in unity.
AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan wished Sisi success on his re-election as President of Egypt during the call.
He expressed his hope that the new term would be beneficial for Turkey-Egypt relations.
