The Constitutional Court has ruled that the rights to "the right to be elected" and "personal liberty and security" of imprisoned TİP Hatay MP Can Atalay have been violated.
It was reported that the decision was reached by a majority vote.
With this ruling, Can Atalay is expected to be released in a short time.
Can Atalay's lawyer, Akçay Taşçı, had stated, "If a violation ruling is issued, we will apply to the Istanbul 13th High Criminal Court, which is the court that issued the verdict, for the Constitutional Court's decision to be implemented."
