Gürsel Tekin, who was appointed as the trustee to the CHP İstanbul Provincial Presidency, had announced that former Istanbul Provincial Chair Canan Kaftancıoğlu would also accompany him during his visit to the provincial building on Monday, September 8.
Tekin had stated that it was not yet certain whether the visit would take place due to a family health issue Kaftancıoğlu was dealing with in Ordu, but that if no obstacles arose, Kaftancıoğlu would be with him.

Poyraz emphasized that the claims did not reflect the truth, stating, "The claim that Ms. Canan will head to the CHP İstanbul Provincial Building with Gürsel Tekin on Monday is completely baseless."
