Chief Advisor to the President Oktay Saral used harsh language against writer Mine Kırıkkanat and CHP voters on social media. In his post, Saral stated the following:
-“Look here, Mine Kafasıkırık! Voters who cast their ballots for CHP municipalities—which produce no works, do not lay a single stone upon another, and have no projects other than city restaurants, milk distribution, and obscure statues—are defined as uncultured and ignorant. Get that through your broken head, you ill-omened woman!”
Following these posts by Saral, Mine Kırıkkanat issued a statement tagging President Erdoğan. Criticizing Saral's language harshly, Kırıkkanat said:
-“Mr. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, an advisor representing your office should never speak with such a low-level tone. The position held requires a stance and dignity befitting the state.”
-“A person who carries that position worthily does not attack a female writer—or anyone else for that matter—by overstepping the boundaries of decency, nor do they exhibit such shameful behavior. I am reporting this individual to your office and bringing it to your attention.”
