JUDICIAL PROCESS BEGAN AFTER CRIMINAL COMPLAINT AGAINST ERDOĞAN

The lawyers drew attention with the criminal complaint they filed against Erdoğan. The basis for this complaint was the allegations made by Sedat Peker, which shook Turkey's agenda, regarding Kalashnikovs distributed to civilians after July 15 using a vehicle belonging to the AKP Youth Branches. These allegations led the lawyers in question to file a criminal complaint against Erdoğan. However, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office closed the file after the lawyers' application, citing "no grounds for investigation."

INVESTIGATION INTO LAWYERS WHO FILED THE CRIMINAL COMPLAINT

The Ministry of Justice granted permission for prosecution for this investigation on August 8. The lawyers' file was referred to the Istanbul Assize Court.
