Most recently, the IYI Party's GİK reached a decision to enter the local elections "freely and independently." Following this decision, the candidate determination process within the IYI Party has gained momentum.
Accelerating its candidate identification efforts, the IYI Party has announced 98 mayoral candidates to date, including 5 provinces and 3 metropolitan municipalities.
So far, the mayoral candidates for the Izmir, Eskişehir, and Kahramanmaraş metropolitan municipalities, as well as the Kilis, Düzce, Çanakkale, Isparta, and Kırıkkale provincial municipalities, have been announced. The party has also shared 90 district and town mayoral candidates with the public.
The party determined its Isparta mayoral candidate, Ahmet Tural, through a survey, in line with the decision to "determine the mayoral candidate via survey method in cases where there is more than one candidate who meets the criteria and is equally loved and recognized in the region."
TRABZON CANDIDATE TO BE ANNOUNCED TOMORROW
According to the report in BirGün; following the General Administrative Board meeting held at the beginning of the week under Akşener's chairmanship, where CHP Chairman Özgür Özel's proposal for cooperation in the local elections was rejected and the decision to "enter the elections in 81 provinces and 922 districts with our own candidates" was reiterated, the IYI Party continues to announce its candidates.
