The voting process for the Party Assembly (PM) and High Disciplinary Committee (YDK) elections at the Republican People's Party (CHP) 21st Extraordinary Convention has ended. Following the re-election of Chairman Özgür Özel, all eyes have turned to the party's new management team.
Voting for PM and YDK memberships, which began at 20:10 at the Ankara Sports Hall, lasted approximately three and a half hours. After the voting concluded at 23:50, the counting process began.
CHP delegates went to the polls to determine the members of the PM and YDK. As the vote counting process gets underway in the convention hall, the first results are expected to become clear in the coming hours.
A total of 60 Party Assembly members and 15 High Disciplinary Committee members will be determined at the convention. The new team will both manage the CHP's post-local election evaluation process and shape the political roadmap for the upcoming period.
