Criticism from AKP's Çelik to CHP: 'The primitive language of marginal politics'

AKP Spokesperson Çelik criticized CHP Chairman Özgür Özel on his social media account, stating the following:

"For days, CHP officials have not been using the language of a deep-rooted party, but the primitive language of marginal politics. Democratic protest is a right, but the language used by the CHP leadership is not the language of democratic protest. The CHP leadership cannot produce a clear and concise response regarding the allegations on the agenda. These allegations were brought to the agenda months ago by some CHP members themselves regarding certain CHP-run municipalities.

Initially, CHP Chairman Mr. Özgür Özel and his administration remained silent in the face of these corruption debates that started among CHP politicians. Now, they are trying to cover up their own political incompetence and irresponsibility by calling young people to the streets. They are exploiting the right to democratic protest to suppress internal infighting within the CHP.

The CHP leadership has once again failed in terms of democratic politics and democratic attitude. The most fundamental problem for our political life is the CHP's lack of politics. The only thing the CHP leadership needs to do is to appear before the public and answer the allegations raised by some CHP politicians regarding some CHP-run municipalities."
