An important development has occurred in the 'insulting the President' case against Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ, who is currently held at Silivri Prison.
According to a report by Ekol TV, the Istanbul Criminal Court of First Instance had previously decided to transfer the case to Antalya due to a lack of jurisdiction. However, upon the prosecutor's objection, the Istanbul Assize Court ruled in favor of the prosecution, deciding that the file should remain in Istanbul.
DATE SET FOR COURT APPEARANCE
The legal process will continue at the Istanbul Criminal Court of First Instance. Ümit Özdağ will appear before the court in this case on April 29.
