Future Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu made assessments regarding the agenda while appearing as a guest on TV5 Main News.
Recalling the Efes vs. Real Madrid basketball game, Davutoğlu said, "At the beginning of a basketball game held in Turkey between Efes and Real Madrid, a minute of silence was held for the Israelis who were killed. Well, why is there no mourning for the children and women killed by Israel, which is a state terror? Why is the life of Israelis valuable and superior? Why are Palestinians deprived of even being treated like ordinary human beings?"
Stating, "All those who have harbored a grudge against me since the beginning because I support the Palestinians have taken action," Davutoğlu continued his words as follows:
"They all attacked at once. One of them is someone who says he has contact with Mossad. Is he an academic, a politician... He is someone you cannot put into any mold. He has been attacking me for days. Because I opposed the entry of US soldiers into Turkey during the March 1st Memorandum, I was seen as the most dangerous man in the Middle East."
WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
Victory Party leader Ümit Özdağ had announced that he would file a lawsuit against Future Party leader Ahmet Davutoğlu, who called him a 'Mossad agent'. Challenging Davutoğlu to a duel on live broadcast, Özdağ had said the following:
"I served as the president of the Eurasian Strategic Research Center. While performing these duties, I held meetings in various parts of the world, partly at the request of the state, and I reported them. In this context, no one said I am a Mossad agent, but it is hardly plausible that there would be no Mossad agent at a meeting I attended. Because the chief of Israeli military intelligence was giving a briefing, but the second-in-command of the Turkish Foreign Ministry in Tel Aviv was next to him. Now, did you receive training from Mossad? But I have acquaintances who have received training from the MIT and Mossad. Because I am not an intelligence officer, but I have conducted intelligence and national security studies. Davutoğlu and AKP trolls have brought this up many times."
