The DEM Party delegation's contacts with political parties are continuing. Having previously visited the CHP, EMEP, and DEVA Party, the delegation will hold meetings today with the Felicity Party, Future Party, and the Workers' Party of Turkey (TİP).
Next week, the delegation is planned to meet with the MHP and AKP in Parliament.
ÖZEL: THE SOLUTION MUST BE PARLIAMENT
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel pointed out after his meeting with the DEM Party delegation that the process should be conducted on the floor of Parliament.
Özel stated, "We will make an effort to solve this problem. The Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), as the most important institution of democracy, must be the center of this process. We are preparing a democratization package and our proposal is clear: 'Democracy, democracy, democracy.' We are not considering any other path."
RESPONSE TO THE 'DISSOLUTION' CALL
DEM Party Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan, when asked whether the "dissolution" call made from İmralı covers the YPG, responded by saying, "The SDF makes its own decisions. It views itself as an independent structure, and it would not be right to make a comment on this matter."
Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş also made a statement regarding the issue, saying, "The Grand National Assembly of Turkey is the address for solving all of the country's problems. It is important for the political parties in the TBMM to develop a common stance. We will also step in when necessary for the process to proceed in a healthy manner."
