The DEM Party is continuing its contacts with political parties following the PKK's decision to lay down arms during the Imralı Process. In this context, a DEM Party delegation met with CHP Chairman Özgür Özel at the CHP Headquarters today. The meeting took place around 14:30.
These visits by the DEM Party have gained momentum following the decision by the PKK to end its armed activities within the framework of the Imralı Process initiated by MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli. In recent days, the DEM Party's Imralı Delegation also held a meeting with PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan.
The DEM Party has announced that it will hold meetings with all political parties. In this context, contacts are also planned with parties such as the AKP and MHP. DEM Party Co-Chairs Tülay Hatimoğulları and Tuncer Bakırhan, along with DEM Party Group Deputy Chair Gülüstan Koçyiğit, were present at the meeting at the CHP Headquarters. The delegation was welcomed by CHP Deputy Chairman Gül Çiftçi and CHP Group Deputy Chair Murat Emir.
Yesterday, the DEM Party delegation visited the DEVA Party and the Felicity Party (Saadet Partisi). These visits aim to strengthen the party's role in the political process and keep channels of dialogue open.
