DEM Party denies claims that permission was granted for Imrali visit

Hande Fırat HAD CLAIMED PERMISSION WAS GRANTED
Journalist Hande Fıratclaimed that permission had been granted to Ömer Öcalan, the nephew of terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan, for a visit to Imrali. In a post on her social media account, Fırat stated that although there was no official announcement, the visit was expected in the near future.
Sharing on her social media account, Fırat included the following statements:
"The application for the Imrali visit was made by his nephew Ömer Öcalan a long time ago. There is no official statement for now, but the information received is that permission for the visit has been granted. It is expected in the near future."
Journalist Sinan Burhan for his part, stated in his post on the subject, "DEM Party MP Ömer Öcalan had requested permission to meet with the head of the terrorist organization, Abdullah Öcalan. There is information that the meeting will take place."
DENIAL FROM DEM PARTY
DEM Party sources announced that the claims stating that Şanlıurfa MP Ömer Öcalan had been granted permission to meet with Abdullah Öcalan at Imrali Prison do not reflect the truth. Party sources stated, "Our expectation is for the isolation to be lifted and for meetings to take place within their normal course. As the DEM Party, we ask that no one believe the speculation."
The DEM Party Central Executive Board (MYK) held an extraordinary meeting yesterday following Bahçeli's call. During the meeting, it was decided to "follow the process carefully and address it with all its risks, together with the party organizations and the DEM Party base."
