DEM Party Co-Chair Tülay Hatimoğulları spoke at her party's group meeting.

Sharing the latest developments regarding the peace process, Hatimoğulları said the following:

"The call made by Mr. Abdullah Öcalan on February 27 is the call of the century and a very important opportunity in history.

The PKK announced with its congress decision on May 12 that it was closing one era and opening a new one.

This is a chance for all the peoples of the Middle East and Turkey.

There is no longer any justification for steps that were postponed due to violence and conflict.

The time is for peace, democracy, and justice.

Lawlessness casts a shadow over the peace process.

Mayors and council members are in prisons.

Where there is no law and justice, how will peace and justice develop?

Erdoğan said, 'I stand behind the peace and democratic society process.'

Now it is time for the legislative and judicial branches to turn their words into action. Steps must be taken.

We can give clear answers to the question of where to start. To list a few of these;

Peace Academics can be reinstated to their jobs.

Trustees can be withdrawn.

Imprisoned politicians can regain their freedom.

ECHR decisions can be implemented.

Let us make these arrangements quickly.''
