DEM Party group meeting: 'We will apply to visit İmralı'

The DEM Party group meeting has begun. The party's co-chair Tuncer Bakırhan made statements.

Highlights from the DEM Party Group Meeting are as follows:

"Yesterday, on November 25, women were in the streets against state and male violence for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. Women have once again thwarted the attempts of a mentality that fears the women's struggle and freedom to suppress this movement. The women's struggle for freedom is also our party's struggle. We will continue to say 'Jin, Jiyan, Azadi' once again."

We woke up to a Turkish classic this morning. Another operation was carried out this morning. Our friends were detained. I condemn this decision. Operations continue to be carried out against everyone who is in opposition, from labor to the press. Our friends must be released immediately.

THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE OF TUNCELİ HAS BEEN USURPED

"A continuous coup process has been underway in Turkey since 2015. This putschist mentality reminded us of itself by appointing trustees in Dersim and Ovacık. First, the judge's robe was put into play, and then the will of the people of Dersim was basely usurped."

'WE WILL APPLY TO THE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE TODAY FOR İMRALI'

"They continue to go out and conduct dirty propaganda. They say, 'He is not listening to Mr. Öcalan,' and they also say, 'The DEM Party is not in favor of a solution.' Can there be such a lie? We want to ask in the presence of 85 million people: What did Öcalan say or want? We don't know this. Then lift the isolation... Give up this dirty psychological war you are waging. You are the source of the lack of a solution. We will apply to the Ministry of Justice today for İmralı."
